It seems awfully quiet on here of late,
I'm sure that we can get it together again and all get behind the forum and help Elmer to lift this place back to the top again.
I'm sure that there are many members from here who are now lurking away in the background and keeping their heads down, come on people lets chat again. Its getting pretty depressing around where I live (Leeds) not to mention smelly bin men have been on strike 7 weeks now, and to top the lot the postmen are out on strike too from tonight.
the only thing that puts a smile on my face at the minute is driving my 6. Now I know its not a 2.5L only a 2.0L but it still takes my breath away.....
Wife and daughter still want a MX 5 but I'm hanging on in there.
yeah.. the Canadian section is quiet too.. and there has been people selling their six when i never thought they would ever think of doing that.. its a shame but i mean, you have to face the fact this car is not getting any younger... for each year that passes, another mazda will come along..
I may not be perfect, but I'm Canadian and thats close enough!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean, but sur5ely the 6 must be approaching classic status now, and once that is recognised, then their value should rely more on condition than age......... Ahn well back to planet Mazda
they say when a car is 15 years old, it can be treated as a classic, but for it to have a value, it must be 30 years old or more, be bone stock, low kms, mint shape and never resprayed.. I don't think you'll ever find a 30 year old stock mx6 with low kms.

I'm still lurking around here even if i do pop between forums, it is very quiet at the moment but maybe there are loads of members with no car problems so they don't get on so much.
Anyway I'll be around as will be doing up hot cheese's old 6 soon and will be an owner again.
It's not that bad in leeds is it? apart from the bin men. I originate from your neck of the woods (wakefield) now thats depessing. Haven't been up there for years though and now classed as a plastic Welshman.
Keep the 6 mate unless you intend to open a hairdressers
It's a bonded window Elmer so need to get it fitted professionally, needs polyurathane glue I believe. Lets hope that the the one that turns up isn't damaged.
Having to take the car for MOT with no window in and get it fitted later.

Hi Dave
the 6 is the jap import 2.0L V6 bit cheaper to run than the 2.5 but still performs well.........................
Trouble is that SWMBO is pilling on the pressure for a 5........
I'm still here to and i regularly visit and read the forums.
Mainly because i'm looking for a damn exhaust (which is proving to be difficult)
Annoyingly a full scorpian cat back came up on ebay the other day only to be taken off a day later as the seller was selling it to his 'friend'! Lucky friend i say!
Apart from that my car is going great for a 15yr old car! Bodywork isn't too shabby either.
Anyways hope everyones good
Catch ya later
Nige :-)
