Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call when you are unable to speak?

Keys

OK, I have 3 keys for my car. One has been programmed to work with the immobiliser, but is very damaged, like could snap. The other 2 have been cut to match the old one but the car has not yet been in to the Mazda shop to be reprogrammed (I think they re-code the immobiliser to match a new code to the keys).

However, big disaster struck last night, like the bonnect flying up and smacking the windscreen at 70mph and so the car has to go get fixed.

Is there anyway of removing the bit from the bent key and putting it in the new key so that the guys fixing the bent bonnet do not snap the old key ?

Really would appreciate hearing some nice trick here.

As for the bonnet, dunno how it happened, bonnet had not been opened for days, was quite an experience.

Cheers

Ok

You signature doenst state what year your car is - but im guessing around 96'. I which case its a transponder imobiliser. Simply Tape the correctly coded key to the sterring colmun / near the inginition switch. Then you should be able to use the non coded keys

Hope that helps

It should work - it must be the positioning of the transponder - Put the keys Back to back like this ---><--- then try as the ingintion, the transponder will definatley be in the rigth place then. After youve proved it works experiment a bit more with where you can place it - transponder range is nomany only a few cm's.

Hope the helps
