I'm driving up to meet him now - the dizzy is different, but his last set of leads came off a car which had my lead order on the dizzy and they fitted fine - so we'll test it!

You can give Phil De Witt @ Magnecore your exact lead lengths and he will make them to fit for around £135.
Well, I've got them on, and the car is a lot smoother!@-
These are the size which were not supposed to fit, but the only real difference is that the lead for cylinder 2 is shorter, so I've run it across the tops of the leads going into cylinders 4 and 6 to the dizzy.
Grendal's running a Probe with a MX-6 J-spec engine, Pipercross induction kit and full free-flowing decat system @ over 2.5 inches. He's also got an FSE.
Wasn't as fast as I thought it would be with the full exhaust system and FSE in addition to what I've got...maybe a: the exhaust diameter is TOO large and he's lost some necessary back-pressure, and b: the engine needs retuning after having had the FSE fitted. LOVELY CAR, THOUGH! Exhaust note is a bit harsher than mine...more of a 'Fast & Furious' sound....
His strut braces do make a difference on cornering, though. Feels like sports springs. Are Probe springs stiffer than ours? Feels that way...
Thanks again, Grendal! u2, Dave!

Hmmmm J-Spec engine!!! Was he running all the J-Spec ECU and Ignition to go with it or not???
As for exhaust Diameter. I read ages ago (nearly 18 months ago now) that a 2.5" Diameter exhaust did reduce back pressure on our cars and should only be used on Forced Induction applications. To increase power and torque on a totally standard car to get a 2" System. Standard is 2.25"
I will probably need to get my leads mad up as ive got 7 cause im running the J-Spec Coil and Dizzy!!!

That suprises me. Most ppl use the standard KL03 Dizzy because the wiring setup is different. It doesnt actually give any real gains apart from they dont have the dizzy fault like the uk car.
If he has the ECU and Vaf he is quite lucky. Most ppl just get the engine and run it on the UK ecu. Any chance you can do me a favour and email him and ask what he has done about the speed limiter.

Sounds like he is using all standard UK ignition as well then. Its what most ppl do. The only thing is the 200bhp engine becomes about 190 and why bother fitting the EGR Valve!!! It only slows you down even more!!! I got through emmsions tests without one and ive known standard J-Specs to get through the emisions tests without them aswell.
