Hi gareth,

I'm awaiting mine to arrive, so have been checking all the posts for the pitfalls...

Ken also has one similar and also wondered what to do with the bracket .. then came up with this idea ...

Mainly, look for places you can attach them to, to stabalise the pipe.

Do a search on this forum for CAI and look for kens posting.. ' My CAI is here at last '

Gareth,

You will see from the photo, one of the brackets has been used, the small bracket was used to bolt to the battery tray and jubilee cliped to the pipe ... as for the other alloy bracket, dont think Ken used it.

I didn't even get that bracket, let alone use it.
I only got a small angle bracket that I used to hold the CAI in place.

I expect your CAI is a generic one designed to fit a few different cars and the spare bracket is for another vehicle.
I wouldn't worry about it mate.
