A/C is not standard accross the range wolf...

They all have an A/C Button but it was generally an option...

Yes, gareth is right.. all the 626 and MX-6 range have an A/C button, this is normally covered with a small black piece of tape..

first the good news..
You can have A/C fitted.

now some bad news..
It costs just short of £1200.. ( I know, I had it done)

and a bit more bad news...
When I got mine, there were only 3 kits left in the whole country..

So, if nobody else bought it, there's 2 left.
and these are the people who fit it for Mazda dealers when a customer orders it as an optional extra.

I was one of the unlucky ones wolf, i havent got A/C in mine, ive taken the black tape off the button thou to make it look more impressive

But if you havent got it think of it this way, its something that wont go wrong with your car,and how many really hot days in summer do we have? So to be honest i dont think its that important, but then again ive never had the privilage of driving a car with A/C

Stu.. it's not only for hot summer days..

It actually dries the incoming air, so demisting takes seconds on rainy days, in the winter, it's the same story, but you can have warm DRY air.. no more steaming up. and on a hot day... well, I'm not Especially as our cars have a lot of soundproofing, which is like an insulated jacket.. and mine being black doesn't help.. it used to be on gas mark 9 before I fitted the A/C.

All in all, it's the best £1200 I ever spent on my car.

I have seen some cars with a de-mist function but really they are just turning the A/C on and aiming it to the windscreen . Yes it does work in seconds.

I was thinking about it but then where do you put and how do you power your supercharger?

I am thinking of adding Mark 626GT to my ignore list

The compressor is low down at the front Mark... still plenty of room, as the supercharger pulley goes at the top, with a shaft going across the front to the intake side of the engine where the supercharger fits.

I thought it ran off the same pulley although there is more than one type of S/C install. I have seen one that fits down where the compressor goes but I think the most popular is the top mount with the lay shaft.
Anyway in the manual it says to check the air conditioning/supercharger belt... and I took that to mean they were exclusive the first time I read it (and I read it more than once too as I thought I was seeing things )
