MPG Round-up!

What sort of mpg are we all getting here.

I've been looking at mine since the O2 sensor change, I'm definately pushing 30mpg with new sensor and new plugs.

Anybody else?

At a rough guess I'm on 23-25 mpg at the mo.
But I suspect a faulty O2 in there somewhere. Gonna go buy an LED tomorrow to read the diag codes.

30 sounds good though... I could do with a bit of that

30mpg? Lucky man (or a you've got a light right foot).
I'm getting around 220 miles on 41 litres. That works out at around 24 mpg - and my mileage is about 50/50 slow town and fast dual-carraigeway..

Ken
Mind you, the fast bit usually ends up being 100mph+ for most of the time

happily, i am enjoying the equation that means as the mpg goes down, the grin rating goes up.

Worst I ever had was 7mpg... yup seven.. very short journeys... good thrash etc

best was about 33 - 34 mpg when I wuz on me hols with gertie... it's amazing how much fuel you can save with one of those in the passeger seat..

Yep, totally agree John. It's the pain in the left arm where they smack you that usually slows you down...
I still remember when Lin hit me at 100+ when racing a beemer uphill - she's given up now mind and just closes her eyes.

I get 20 MPG round town max. Went to Cornwall and back and I got 29 MPG doing between 70 and 85 all the way, at a guess I averaged 78.

I'm happy with this as it is after all a 2.5 and a J-spec and automatic and the both O2 sensors have gone...

Incidentally I've ordered 2X O2 sensors for £62 including VAT and delivery so if your replacing them dont pay over that for them.

I should get a little better consumption with these fitted. We'll see.

Have a nice day.

Neilson.

The most i've got is since I did my decat, and I'm up to about 275 - 300 on 45 litres. That is nearly all motorway (up and down the M3 to and from work every day!) But when I went on hols to the Isle of Wight last year I was down to 180 miles on 45 litres!

I get about 220 miles to 35 litres. Bit more, bit less depending on how many tractors and volvos are out on the road and begging to be blasted into the weeds.

That's mostly 60-90 on single carriageway country roads. I mean 60 officer.
