Damn... Getting code 24 error...!

Having replaced the front o2 sensor last week I am now getting a code 24 - rear o2 sensor fault.

I'm going to leave this to my mechanic, it's due an MOT in the middle of March so he can sort it with the correct equipment.

Also want him to lower the car all round.

Shame though!

Hi Kieron,

I've got O2 sensors in the post, but its just occured to me I havent got a tool to remove and replace them....is it a 10 mm spark plug spanner I need? (sorry for the hi-jack)

22 or 24mm spanner from what i remember. Very easy to change. Even the rear isnt that bad a job just get it from under the car.

22mm Mate.

Halfords do quite a long reach one - 7 quid.

Might do mine if it's easy to see it.....

Also need an exhaust gasket....

once the sensors have been replaced, is there any resetting required, or should things sort themselves out? i thought that if incorrect readings were obtained, the ecu went to some sort of safe default setting?
