Unhappy Where can I get a new engine?

'Cos I've managed to blow this one up...

Accelerated away from a roundabout onto a dual carraigeway in 2nd this evening.
As I changed up to 3rd there was an almighty bang. The car went into 3rd OK but sounded like there was a bag of nails in the engine. Clouds of thick white smoke out the back and the engine had completely died. Luckily nothing seized at speed - or if it did, it didn't pull me to an immediate halt.

I coasted to a halt on the grass verge and waited for the smoke to clear before lifting the bonnet. The whole of the lower rear of the engine is covered in oil - there's none left in the engine at all. It's definitely terminal...

So, what do I do now guys?

I await your suggestions eagerly...

Ken

Thanks for the words all.
The shock of what it's going to cost me is just sinking in.

I really want to keep the MX6 if possible. I've put so much work into making it what it is (was) and have future plans too. (For those of you who hadn't guessed from the avatar, I've got a brand spanking Erebuni Style44 kit sat in my garage waiting to be fitted. Guess that'll have to wait then!)

Umm - can I plead the 5th here please? All I will say is there was a nice black RX7 in front of me at the time - very quickly a looong way in front of me...

I didn't boot it too hard though - no more than I usually do. Lin was in the car behind me so I didn't dare.

Ah well. I've entered my details into loads of breaker sites so I guess it's a case of sit and wait to see what comes in.

Now, where's that brandy? I think I need a large one!

Cheers,
Ken

Sounds like it dropped a rod, which has popped through the crankcase.. yup pretty terminal in my book too.

For whatever the cost turns out to be.. A J-Spec KL-ZE would be the first consideration..
As you already use Optimax, get the J-Spec ECU as well (tuned for 100 ron, but who's counting)

Cheers Roland. I may just shout for you on that one.

I'm fairly sure that silver one's been sold. There's a new one in the area here and that plate looks familiar...

Apart from the usual breakers, has anyone got a website or email for a KLZE supplier?
