Went into my Mazda dealer today to order my front droplink (£44 +VAT) and just out of curiousity with the intent to buy if cheap enough, I asked about the rubber window seals as mine are a bit worn and leaking where the doors close on them (right at the wing mirrors) he told me the price and I almost dropped on the spot. £120 +VAT EACH, yes EACH. I told him he should be wearing a mask, though they probably sell them as well for about £100 +VAT.
Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call when you are unable to speak?

Hi
I called a Scrappie the other day to get a arial from a MX6!! (shock horror, i didnt expect them to have a Mx6), which was Immaculate apart from serious damage to the passenger door, apart from that, it looked good. I can put in touch with them, its thru Glasgow way tho, i got lucky, is there any scrappies where u are?
If the seals are worn around the door, Dave (MX6_UK) came up with a nice little idea, get some draught excluder tape and take the seals off the surround put some of the draught excluder tape on and then push the seals back on.
Hope i remembered that right .

We have plenty scrappies here, don't know if they will have any mx6's though. I might need that phone number if Andy's idea doesn't work. I will go and get some tape and try that. I take it that the idea is to make the seal stick out a bit more thus giving a tighter seal? Cheers Alan and Andy

I did something similar for the old window seal problem, instead of using insulating tape, I folded sections of duck (duct) tape to the desired thickness and inserted them inder the window rubbers - worked a treat - no leaks, and no wind noise................................................
