MX-6 Roof Leaks
I've recently got my first MX-6. It's beautiful!!!
BUT, I have a slight problem that the roof leaks?
It's not near the sun roof, but at the back on the right in the corner. It's at the corner of the roof?
It's a bit annoying because every time I wash my car a damp patch appears inside. GRRR! Has anyone had this problem before? My first thoughts are that a seal has gone somewhere?
I'd appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Francis
(I live in the UK and wandered if anybody knows of a MX6 specialist, I have a few bits i'd like to sort out)
I know a few were talking about this only the other week, if you do a wee search there are some suggestions as to what caused the prob, heres one I found for ya

Thanks for those.
My boot hasn't started to leak as yet thankfully.
I think it's more to do with the two strips that run down the gutters on the roof. The water patch appears at the back on the right at the very end of the gutter.

Not unless you want your wallet emptied. MY roof had the same problem, in addition to a leak at the front. Front one was the sunroof drains that were blocked (take off headlining, disconnect drain hose and unblock.)
The rear problem was traced to a replacement rear screen which had not been fitted very well - there was no sealant at the top corners. I temporarily solved this by squirting black silicon sealant (£3-4 from Halfords) in the corners both outside and in. This stopped the leak but i had the screen taken out and put back properly when I had some bodywork done (£130!!!).
Mazda will probably do the former for you but may charge a standard hour's rate for doing so (£70 odd). Do it yourself, you can't make the leak worse, just clean it out a bit, make sure it is dry and squirt the sealant in, then wipe off the excess. Easy job.
