Hmm...what happens when you think you have the clutch in and in 1st, but it's still in neutral? You rev to 3k, pop the clutch, slam on the gas?

BOOM!

At least...that's my guess. I know I've forgotten a few times and tried starting out in neutral. Car doesn't move very far.

I had a '86 Prelude with the 1.8L engine. It was pretty peppy (my first sporty car). But not nearly as quick as the MX-6.

Wow, how illegal can you get?

1.) Street Racing = Illegal
2.) People watching street racing = Illegal
3.) Racing in front of a school, of all places, that has a speed limit of no doubt 20 = very very very illegal.

Was it even necessary to point out thats where you raced?

you are way too cool.

"Illegal" is a joke in it's self. Street racing is cool and fun. Keep it up. But back to the original inquiry. I have a DX, and I have yet to loose to ANY honda in races below 117 m.p.h. (damn speed limiter kicks in). I've raced VTECs, Mustangs (lost to a modded one, but beat a GT) and have only lost a few times. Off the subject: For a real thrilling embarrasment, RACE AN M3

Unless you've got some serious cash into your engine I think you've been racing some broken down Vtec's and Mustangs.

I'ts a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake, if the way is hazy

My .02

Racing can be very fun ... in a controlled environment! Out in front of a school is way too stupid!! You not only put yourself at risk, but everyone else in the vicinity. Think ahead ... take your disputes to the track and kill the Hondas there. Be cool ... race safe!

I'm speaking from experience ....

Firstly, racing in a school zone is NOT cool and fun. It's stupid. And secondly, I think you're full of [shizzle]. No way a basically stock DX is going to take a MGT. You MIGHT stand a chance if you had the (alleged) s/c on.

Never said anything about school zones idiot. But street racing is fun. Don't like the heat, get outta the kitchen. Many things kill, not just the lack of knowledge or experience when street racing. And there is a way for my basically stock DX to beat a MGT. it happened. With the help of some later traffic, it happened, but, i had him before all that anyway. Raced another one recently on open highway and he got me (BAD..even had four girls in the car with him). No traffic to help.

As for my old sig.... I did get most of everything stated except the Supercharger (decided to go with a Whipple in the future), the roll cage, the chip, and the 4wd tranny. it's still to come though. I did get a Zex N20 system, Pacesetter header, the front drop springs, and the Tenzos. And at low speeds (less than 70) I have yet to loose to a V-tec. believe it or tell your mom to lick my balls four times.

I did. I lost to a b18c swapped civic spraying a ZEX 55 shot at the track. He ran a 15.1, I ran a 15.6. Smoked him off the launch though

evo626 was there for that one I think.

sorry, I just thought I'd share.

I don't think I've ever encountered a civic that ran below 15.0 in this area, which really doesn't matter, because I'm only threatened by ones that run below a 14.0.
