I'm thinking of selling my '94 LS coming up soon. I'll be buying a G35 but I don't want to trade in the 6, I'd prefer to sell it private.
I bought it June 2004 for $7850 with 139xxx Km's on it.
Here's the details:
Original Vancouver Car (Wolfe Mazda)
Always Garage Kept
94 LS 5spd.
Approx 154xxx Km's (I've been storing it for the past few months so I forget the exact number)
Hunter Green / Tan Leather
Exterior and Interior in excellent shape
No rips in seats
Service history back to 1999 available
Oil changes every 5000kms
Synthetic motor and tranny oil used
Car is essentially stock except for K&N filter, front and rear strut bars, MSD wires
New tires
No obvious outstanding repairs (I had it inspected when I bought it and I've only put on 15000kms, and I fixed any deficiencies from the inspection)
Full recent tune up (fuel filter, cap, rotor, MSD 8.5mm wires, NGK G power, PCV valve, etc...)
All available options (power seat, sunroof, CD/tape/6 spkr, heated mirrors, etc...)
The car is in great shape and runs strong. There are some minor parking lot dents on the doors. Not scrapes, just minor dings. What can you do?
Can anyone give me an idea of what I could expect for a market price? I've seen some listed from $3500 - $10000. Like I said, I paid $7850 in '04. At the time that seemed high but the car was much nicer than other MX6's that I saw so a little extra was worth it. The previous owner had a YZF600 and an Acura 3.2 CL-S as well and, as a single guy, had no use for a 3rd vehicle.
I'm expecting about $6500 or more, does that sound reasonable?
I posted in the Western Canada section because Eastern Canada and the US seem to be out to lunch with low values. I'm tired of hearing about these mint 6's going for $2-4K! Not in Vancouver at least.
Interesting feedback...
Something Ive had on my mind as well, tho, I dont think Im ready to let my 6 go yet...Probably 'coz Im not ready to buy what Id like...and cant justify a loan.(for a G35 as well)...

so tj, what would you let yours go for? yours looks in great shape like mine. how many miles on yours? assuming yours is equipped similar to my 6 they'd be comparable in value...

IF I was to sell her, I'd probably start @6k...and see what happens from there.....
I dont have a sunroof or keyless entry and no CD...but upgraded 16" rims, good tires, CAI and RSTB... some perks....and all the quirks worked out..ie leaky trunk syndrome, relatively new disty..plus only 103376km's.
.
What about you....??
what? do i have all the kinks worked out? the car has no problems that i know of except that the power antenna needs a nudge to retract sometimes. mine has the sunroof, keyless and all the goodies...
tj i'd think you wouldn't have any problem getting 6K for yours. especially with only 103k kms. that's low, and i thought i was relatively low. based on the responses so far when i put mine up for sale i'll probably start at around 7K, and work from there.
our cars are 12, almost 13, years old. so yours has a little over 8K a year, mine at just over 12K a year. the average is somewhere between 17-20k a year so both cars are well below average. like i said i've had mine for over two years and put on only 15k kms, and 5k of that was in two trips to edmonton from vancouver.
