Ive decided to leave the ride hight alone and just live with it, not a fan of cutting or resetting the springs, any how they may drop 10mm anyway im told.
That's what I found. My springs did settle and it did take a while to do it. See where things sit in a month - and take photos so you know it's not an illusion!
Corey's an interesting fellow to talk to, isn't he? I have a lot of time for his work - he's set a lot of people I know on the right track, regardless of whether they actually buy from the MWTC or not, and I think that's the hallmark of someone who loves their job.
Well Im off this weekend to my Aunties Holiday House at The Pines on the yorke peninsula (near corny point) leaving tommorow night, coming back sunday sometime. Should be good as it will be HOT.
pffffttt hot... wuse! yeah i need my sus done REALLY badly, im thinking king ultra lows (i do alot of hill driving so i need min. BR.) im not going gas shockies as they are too soft and the ride hieght varies alot, (tamara's car is up and down like paris hilton), so im going for some good ol' can't go wrong fluids... a bigger sway bar on the back to lose a bit of understeer, unfortunately a strut-to-strut brace wouldn't be possible due to my ICE updates in the near future: 3x 12" subs in custom box, 6" splits in original mounting spots (rear) with a set of 3-way 6" in the p.t., 4" splits in the orig mounting spots (front) with 6" splits in the front doors.... why so many speakers? to keep up with the 3 subs
yeh my mx6 has a rear strut brace and i also wanna do my suspension, thinking king lows, kyb shockies, rear swaybar, and a front strut brace should do me nicely
and wobbly, if you are gonna get a front strut brace, get an adjustable one, they souldn't cost too much extra. Front strut braces have a nasty way of making the front too taut on FWD cars and increase understeer, in my personal opinion, dont get one instead get a thicker anti-roll bar, like 3 or 4mm thicker...
does anyone know a place that tunes your camber, toe and basically all weel allignments to what is best suited for you (as the driver) as the place i got my TX3 tuned for the Hills closed down *cry* and they did an awesome job at an awesome price
Bob Jane down near the Port on Port Road do camber, caster, toe in/out.
Seemed to do an OK job on my cousins car, ive never had any experience with them though. All he did was give them the specs and they set it up. Did rear wheel camber and toe in/out too.
HOWEVER the car already had a fully adjustable front and rear end fitted so all they had to do was loosen a few nuts and turn a few bits of threaded rod. I doubt they would go into the realms of camber bolts and actually fitting the adjustable front ends since its just too difficult and not worth their time.
nah im not going to Bob jane to get my alignment done... Gf got hers done when sh got her wheels... i swear i could have done it better blind folded and getting a BJ at the same time....
Ok... like i Promised, for those who couldn't quite see the pics on the phone at the cruise meet point... here are the pics of gf's car and my broken tubs.. also a couple added others: *All Picture sizes are 640x480 and are about 20 - 100kb
