Im doing my 6 month cleanout of my shed. Need room for my turbo project which is coming up very soon.
Finally got rid of all the 2.0L FE engine and gearbox bits that have been lying around gathering dust. Also finally got rid of a useless automatic tranny out an FE3 which was taking up space. I know why autos are slow now, the transmission weighs about 100000309030030 times as much as a manual. Dont suppose anyone on here knows where I can buy a heap of mandrel bends from? Got to fabricate up a charge pipe and ive never had to buy mandrels before. |

i have had to move out of the house i've been renting (contract came to an end) so i haven't had time to post or the internet really... my car has blown it's water pump now, so im just gonna fix and sell, as i need a car that is gonna be nice to me... i'm think of going back to a TX3... however still undecided... so i have an EJ20 liberty turbo suited for as/at/gd up for sale, as well as a wiring loom, computer, throttle body etc etc for a GD MX6.... im just sick of having a car that continuelly breaks on me... and the two most reliable cars i've owned i have stupidly sold, one bein a classic that i should have kept which was my MK2 Escort 2L that went like a shower of [shizzle]... which had NO rust and was completely UNRESTORED!!!! i was it's 3rd owner... and my first TX3 that had a chipped computer (i think) and looked fantastic... however atm i have a choice of a KE TX3 n/a or a MA-61 Supra n/a.... but i think i'll be head for the TX3 as i have a really nice low k twin cam 1.8L lying around for it gathering dust...

lol... im not getting another TX5, choice of a supra or a KC/E TX3... unsure yet, they are on par with cons/pros... however both have huge pontential... i need a car that i can trust to go to and from wagga wagga as i am now classified as an RTM (ready to muster) for the RAAF, so i can be sent off for training anywhere within 3 - 12months... so it's kinda getting important for me to get a trustworthy car... im looking into getting a 1G when i get back though for a daily driver, and my project car will be a 1974 929 Coupe *drools*, i think the engine bay of that will look rather snazzy with a FE3t yeah??? hehehe...

if the tyres will fit on the size of the rims! there are sizes you can get though with the rim size you have! e.g. on 17's you can get something like 215/40/17 or 235/45/17 etc etc. otherwise if you're planning on trying to chuck on tyres from 14's onto 17's it won't work!
anywho i'm still giving away the stuff from my old mx6! common someone must want them! i need them gone to make space for my drift machine! |

nice choice redmx, my dad just got a set for his AU XR :P... i'll try and explain this easier-ish...
For every added inch for rim size, the tyre profile size drops by 5! use my car for example: Stock is 205/60/15 or 205/60r15 Current is 205/55/16 or 205/55r16 the break down: 205 = Tyre Width 60/55 = Tyre Profile (how tall the tyre is, higher number taller tyre) r15/r16 = wheel (i repeat WHEEL) diameter, as in the rim, not the tyre! in inches. so if i were to put 17's on my car (YUK!) i would end up with 225/50r17, 17 inch wheels come in a minimun width of 8" hence the add width ...Last edited by Selva : 11-9-07 at 16:57.
