Well Rod said that he is going to be planning some meets with us and OzMazda club and other Mazdas begining of next year. Big meets, ill definately be finished my car by then suspension and FI. After my coilovers and water meth injection setup, I will be finished my car and just worry about fixing it from then on. Im done with mods, too expensive . Ill start saving for next car.

then why would you want to go lower?

"because i've got 370cc injectors" is NOT a good answer. you tune the ms for that, not the pressure...

no comment on the ebc info?

good to see that you didnt shaft your car.

fred.

Touche. My MS is allready setup for 370cc injectors, so stock pressure will be fine. I had a blonde moment....

Im getting a 5psi spring, and connecting the EBC and setting to 5psi as well (or as low as I can get). I just want to have it all set up before I take to dyno so that I can up the boost and tune there. $65 for a spring but, rip off. Im looking around to see if I can get for like $50 on trade from a supplier not a middle man/shop. Installing the EBC is easy anyway, 15 min job.

And yes, im glad my car is in good shape as well.

you misunderstand. if the boost controller does anything but be a straight hose, its INCREASING BOOST it can not by laws of physics and common sense do anything else.

just a boring configuration or no spring in the wastegate are the safe ways to do it, adding an ebc is asking for trouble. set it up later.

i put an fe3 valve spring in my gate to hold it open for initial testing such that the car was effectively NA. this worked well. when i had the right fuel and was ready, i put the spring in and started tuning the higher load regions... easy.

I didnt realise that, I mean I knew that the EBC couldnt lower boost than what the spring is. Ill install it on the electrical side and hook it up to vaccum, just wont install the valve. It needs to be hooked up when it is getting tuned, and I dont exactly want to [fizzle] around at the performance shop installing it. I want it all ready to drive on the dyno when I get there.

yup, fair enough, thats the way to go. if you want to lower boost temporarily before you tune without having no spring in the gate, then just hook the gate pre intercooler and you'll lose some psi across it.

my manifold was so good that with my gate forced wide open, i had 3.5psi by 7krpm.

What is better then getting your brand new intercooler in the mail?

Getting your hot pipes, Fuel pressure regulator, Blow off valve and Wastegate an hour later. Yes, I am cheering

My car will be 100% finished on the 22nd of October. I am booked in for dyno tuning that afternoon.

The only thing I need know is wastegate spring which ive allready ordered and is coming on monday just need to pick it up from perfomance shop that is doing my tuning.

And man, the Tial wastegates are huge. Much Much bigger than an internal gate.

Fredio, I got the flange.

It is the 38mm, It is all I need for my purposes. But like, by huge, it is alot bigger than an internal gated turbos ive worked on.

Well Fitzy, in the states you can get for like $500AU delivered, here locally ive seen for around the $600 mark. I got mine with my turbo pipes, DSM BOV and oil feed line for $800AU from Pearsonmx6.

Ill throw some pics up I took in the laundry and kitchen.

Intercooler from Just Jap performance

the Wastegate, BOV and FPR

And my budgie in the background, he is a champ. Like the screamer pipe on the wastegate? . Dont worry im getting it plumbed back.
