discreet surge tank inside a panel beside the rear seat and you have no fuel pump issues.

tuesday next week?! Sweet!

Don't blow it up!

and yeah, the Cosmo being auto I don't think I would stand a chance. It is tempting to stick it in 'N' and rev to 5k, then shift to 'D'. But I don't really want to pay for a new gear box.

I can think of worse things than losing to a MX6T!

Just started, ripped off intake, crossmember, wheels. removing bumper and going nuts with the angle grinder soon.

Megasquirt after that. Im doing it in pieces, so I dont get frustrated.

It isnt hard, just expensive.

Even in auto i always just floor it in drive, goes harder doesnt break as much

I really really really hope that mx6's in australia have same pinouts as they do in the states. otherwise im [fizzle]ed .

Guess what, they do have the same pinouts and the same colours (for most of them).

Im almost done, should be ready to fire up in about 10 minutes . Now just need to find somewhere to mount the thing.

Yerp ZE turbo base map. The thing is it is set to 370cc injcetors and Ive only got the stockers in there now. I started it, it starts but wont hold idle. Could be because of the injectors? It idles like how it does without the vaf connected. Also the 3 lights on MS arent on. Grounding problem?

I dont have a usb to serial adapter. Are the lights supposed to be on and at what times?

Im pretty much half way through everything now. Ripped everything off including bumper and if you saw my front mount right now, held by zip ties because I didnt have right drill bit. I think I got ahead of myself with this project. I could still be finished by tommorow night, friday arvo, but man it is a big job.

I would say the idle problem is the injector size being used

The 3 led's are for diagnostic purposes i don't know if they are ment to be lit up when being used tho.

injector size is sort of irrelevant, get your cable (10 bucks, i mean come on!) and adjust the req fuel number until the o2 readings are right.

if you dont have wbo2 yet? then get that installed and hooked up first so you can see what hte hell is happening.

fred.

Haha yer Ive got it on ebay bid right now. 1 min to go. EDIT it won while I was typing this. Wont be here soon enough.

Wideband I am using tuners, 02 sensor wire is empty for now. Idle is probably that, well car cant be started now anyway. Extratros are off, front bumper off and frount mount installed but these pipes are way over my head. I might get an exhaust shop to do my intercooler piping, It is too hard and im a cry baby.

youre a goose if you dont use a wideband all the time on it. you also cant provide useful datalogs if you need help, and you dont know whether you are about to blow your engine...

worst, you wont know if the guy has done a top notch job or not.

why would you buy a $5 cable from ebay? surely the postage would be worse than any local price.

fred.

$80 for the adapter. Tried 3 local computer stores, and dicksmith, tandy etc. $10 from ebay.

The job will be good because he is one of the best tuners in sydney. And I am getting a wideband for monitoring, about 1 week after turbo setup (next paycheck). I wont drive it hard for a while anyway, got other stuff I need to fix like a CV that is about to pop off, tyres etc etc.

Anyway im not taking it to the shop yet, Ive got my angle grinder out and im about to go nuts. Going to make those intercooler pipes fit. Oh and [fizzle] Mazda for not having a slightly longer engine bay. My hands are chopped in pieces. Ill take a photo.
