That was this morning when I had just touched up afew things. you should of seen them yesterday, pitch black with red all over . There black again after today, and dad will kill me for touching his laptop .

I hate intercooler pipes. Im doing the bodgiest job, ill have to get a shop to fix it up once the car is drivable. I realised I can fix anything on a car, but being creative with aftermarket [shizzle] is not my thing. .

hahahaha, crack up.

Im now megasquirted, im not turbocharged, im now electronically boost controlled (wtf?) im now intercooled. Goes hard at 4psi.

Now the obvious from other threads of mine. Dyno day was booked, [shizzle] hit the fan (kinda) on the dyno, a $15 sensor set me back 2 weeks because of Chrissy holidays for the shop.

Ive just now bought a wideband, (ok ill say it, YOU WERE RIGHT FRED) and it should be here in 5 days apparently, christmas rush, public holidays, hopefully just before new years. Going to pick up sensor from repco soon.

Hey it might not be fully tuned, or have any dyno numbers to back it up just yet. But you can believe me that it goes plenty hard and makes great noises.

Oh my intercooler piping is a real bodgy job. Ebay alloy pipes, to radiator hose, to ebay alloy, to 1st gen intercooler pipe, to alloy pipe then to the throttle body . Under the chassis too, im still going to get a shop to do a mad job of it

According to probetalk im not allowed to boost in 5th. 1st -4th for sure though. If the torque steer doesnt put me into a wall, 5psi is enough to need a real hard grip on the wheel. Also I dont think this clutch is going to hold, it doesnt slip yet even with a quick 1st -2nd engagement, but after a 1st -3rd WOT it just feels like it is going to fall to bits. Goes back to normal after driving around for 25seconds normally. Maybe it is the box... Not healthy anyway, not like it was when it was NA.

3rd is the gear you wanna watch! thats the one to strip easily! or is fifth piss weak too?

some wallies say no boost in 5th because of the speed/load/time factors that make their engines get hot, and suddenly their tune is too aggressive and the engine blows...

knock detection is key anyway. put an LED on the dash that says KNOCK next to it and lift if you ever see it.

Yerp that is the one, 5th is gear is plenty strong (in comparison with 3rd).

Led ay, when im finished with tuning (yes that sounds dumb I should have it before, but one thing at a time).

You can't really finish with tuning without some knock detection, even if it is a pair of airmuffs and a tube to the block :-)

4 months late, sorry. I take it you are finished tuning? :-)

Well im more finished then I was 4 months ago, but not quite. I have work+uni so time is always short. I also did lose $1600 on 4 tyres and rego/insurance, so that set me back. Ive tuned as much as I care too on my own, im letting tuner do the rest on the dyno. Especially with timing. Trying to install this MSD blaster now as well as the KLZE distributor, disty is easy but I dont know where to mount the blaster . Uni holidays are coming up and I will 100% be done by then. Full time work = lots of money and time on the weekends.

True ay, I hope to be the first finished but [shizzle] keeps popping up!! .

For me it took me an entire summer to work to get the money then the last month to put it all together. havent had holidays since so will have to wait again most likely.

I know Mr.Mx6 went overseas so you cant pin anything on him.

My best mate is a mechanic so it is always easy for me even if I had no doors and half a car. BUT this time his boss left before he did my pink slip and I had to go to another local mechanic as i needed it that morning. Did brake test, light test, suspension inspection as per usual and didnt say a thing. Popped the bonnet because he was helping me with clutch bleed and he said nothing about the little turbo sitting there. Either didnt notice or didnt care. Most mechanics dont care about modifications on a pink slip(unless they are obviously stupidly dangerous), as long as the car is in good shape. Blue slip is different story.
