I think he is on Learners. And yer copex less tyre pressure means more contact with road. Going 10% above recomendations, plus tires spinning producing heat, which raises pressure even more....Not great.

I get wheelspin in 2nd at about 4k WOT in wet (just go WOT for no other reason than to spin up the street) running NA ze with 1 cylinder out (still waiting on my leads GRRR). My tires are about 30% tread so they due for change but not bald.

its easy to get wheelspin in the wet in 2nd, i can do it and i have a mear de with 235's touching the pavment Now doing that same trick in the dry with correct pressure, now that requires power

Anyway, what was the point of this thread again, something about a boost quick referance for parts if i remember rightly...

lol I'll be letting air out again as soon as I get my Ls again on 20th April, my dad is the one whoz playing with my car for the past year and he has a bad habit of over pumping tires.

oh I refilled my car with vortex premium 98octane lastnight and it made a difference the car was noticeably smoother during gear changes but I still can't get rid of the jerkiness at low speeds in 1st & 2nd gear when under 1500RPM I had this problem back in NA days too

this should be a little more relevant i got my boost gauge connected again after refilled with 98Octane fuel, my turbo is now spooling @ 2500rpm+ 2nd gear when fully warmed up used to be @ around 3000rpm+ in 2nd gear. This might be due to higher Exhaust gas temp with higher octane fuel ..... or do turbos have a break in period like with all new engines?

Still waiting on my leads buddy. They must of ordered them in from Mars before they sent to me. Im going to ring them tonight once time difference is ready.

And copex if you jerking down low, like i am, you prob have same problem as me, bad leads. Order from the place i got mine from, they deliver great (PS always fill up with 98 octane. Your car will love you for it. BP ultimate all the way.

As to me getting things started. Im still researching best parts for my setup. I cant boost before my warranty on my ZE runs out anyway (maybe 3 more months to go.) When it comes closer to date im going to buy everything. (buying intercooler tomorow actually (hopefully))

well anyway now there's one thing I'm still not too sure about... I gapped my spark plugs to 0.03" inch according to overboost.com's turbo probe project or should I use factory gap? they say the smaller the gap(smaller spark)the slower the burn therefore you get a little more timing and lower temperature(resist detonation)

Just a little snip off the bumper support and im good to go for intercooler. Or i might be getting rid of AC. Needs a regas and for that money im getting my fuel pump instead. besides. AC is heavy.

Bigger the gap the bigger spark = more fuel burnt = more power = better fuel consumption. Too big and it will miss and stutter at low RPM's. When you might of been gapping maybe you damaged the spark plug, i did that once.

Check the spark plugs next to eachother and see if they are all exactly the same. Gapping plugs is harder than people say only because you need to be real steady and precise.

---Aussie forums really do go off topic.
