Pink slip is annual inspection. Tyres, brake test, suspension check, lights all working.
Blue slip is a big [fizzle] off inspection when you are either regoing a car that hasnt had rego for 3 months, or buying a car from overseas/interstate to get reregistered here. It goes through a hell of a check, you get failed for not having working horn, aftermarket shift knobs, windscreen washer's etc. Real tightarse. Mods dont get through for [shizzle] (unless you know the guy)

I see.

At home Pink sticker = car too dangerous to operate and ordered from road
America Pink slip = ownership documents
Australia Pink slip = warrant of fitness/safety inspection :-)

At home mods only make it through a WOF if the guy doing it is totally dense or they are legal mods or well hidden. I got a welded diff through a major WOF place once by unbolting one drive shaft and just letting it spin in place :-) one wheel drive FTW :-) SO funny watching the guy smoke the tyre (singular) on the brake rollers and across the building. Then he told me the tyre was dangerous but he had to pass it anyway cause it had enough tread ;-)

Mate, bloody oath it was! LOL, It's even funnier though as after the first time through and the "traction issues" etc he didn't drop it back for me, he floored it round and put it back over the pit. I thought I would surely be busted. Didn't know whether to crack up or look grim. Good news is they didn't see me laughing and they didn't see the bolts missing :-) When I first took it in the brakes failed (bias on rear from being locked) and as the guy turned out of the building it was chunking (as they do) he was nice enough to tell me how i had a bad diff and should get it looked at. I thanked him and said I would LOL. So funny. I should put up a thread about passing emissions testing in NZ :-) emissions pass via smoke filter made of cotton socks stuffed up the tail pipe and wired i place. I reckon the rolla had about 35hp with that exhaust setup LOL. got through though! same warrant place, and the guys were like "wow, what did you do, thats amazing that you got it to stop smoking" - oooo an oil change and new filter bro lol.

Fred.
