Grin hello from brisbane

Just thought I'd say hi =)

My entire family own mazdas, and I got my 626 a couple of years back.

I have a '92 v6 2.5L Mazda 626. It has cruise control, which I'm happy about. It has a broken engine mount, which I'm not happy about (especially after only replacing the entire lot of them a year ago).
It has doof doof, which I love. And a sunroof which is cool too.

Anyways, hi =)

hey thanks guys

the rear mount is broken. i had a look at the front as well and it's cracking.. the two sides seem alright. i only replaced them a year ago I've still got the old ones, so i might fill them up with poly and be done with it

Argh the back one, that sux. Poly will make the ride harsher but I suppose it wont break at least. You could try www.rr-racing.com and have a look at their engine mount inserts. Ive ordered a front one. Not as hard as straight poly, but plenty stiff and perhaps cheaper.

That'd be good. I was considering having to ask the shop to use a softer poly compound, cuz last time they were like rocks. I might as well direct-bolted the engine to the chassis! haha.
About the same price in terms of getting the engineering shop to fill them out with poly, but if the vibrations are a bit less that would be awesome. I'll give them a try.
How do you slot them into the old casing? Do I need a press?

Im not sure ay. Im still waiting on mine, only ordered last week . What year model is your car though, some difference with the 1993 model rear mounts if you didnt pick that up from his site.

If you do need to press it in, im sure a bench vice would do.

On there instal instructions, is says nothing about a press...?

yeah, I have the late '92 model ('93 for U.S.), need to find my vice somewhere... hmmm..

yeah i didn't pick up on a press on their site, it looks like each side slots in and joins at the centre, with the bolt holding it all together
