heres a question for russ:

ive got 2 tubs of wax for the car, ones turtle wax platinum series ultra gloss, the other turtle wax super hard shell

am i right in thinking that the platinum one is more for shininess rather than protecting the paint while the super hard shell is more for protecting the paint rather than shininess?

i thought all waxes are for protecting while polishes are for shininess?

im looking to protect the paint more than anything, would it work if i did a layer of the platinum then a layer of the hard shell? as a protector over the top?
