Thanks RDS for pointing me towards clay bars.

I also did some car cleaning on australia day. Found my paint work to be A LOT worse than I thought.

But there is not much point in getting a new paint job if I can't park it undercover at home.

But still the bits that I can clean came up nice after a wash and then clay bar action and then cleaning, then waxing.

Is there a proper sequence we should follow?

i hear that the jaycar sold "response" amps and speakers do a good job, some of the amps have won awards and stuff in SPL etc. I have 2 6 inch splits in the front that are second hand and held together with sellys all clear and they still sound mint, need some for the rear (and to replace em) and it would sound minty minty

kicker amps are wicked but costly

Jaycar 1500 or 800w monoblocks are FTW

The speakers come out of the same factory as a could of mid priced brands can't think of the name it's not as comon as it use to be as it was owned by one of the larger corperations.

as for the AMps? I've had mixed reviews same with some of the speaker.

If you just want to dystroy someone - Go guy the cheap paper doublemagnet 4ohm 15inch with box will weight a ton but Nothing - I mean nothing that side of $300 or less will come close to you hell not even a 15inch base pioneer or clarion will come clsoe to the base power. I knwo as I've got one in lounge powers my 5.1 setup and breaks windows- sure it's not great but it rusn at 45less hz so clarity is not needed. My main fronts contain 12s so it's needed to give just that edge.

I had one of the 2X150wattrms amps powering my 15inch sub pionner and well hmm was good untill recenlty it blew a amp fuse - inline power fuse and has be stuffed since. Haven't found the reason and not planning too can get mono block clarion for $400 new so I don't se the point plus I'm kind of enjoying the lack of weight so the capacitor might be next.

IMO some of the products are good others are average.

ther normal base amps IMO are decent for the price- but if you want overall clarity and performance you pay for it.
