The main priority however is to do it all on the cheap.
I can help you out with that easily enough

Were do you think is the best place to install an amp? I am thinking below the fromt passenger seat, though people have mixed opinions about them there. Some say being in a confined space under the seat makes them over heat, on the other hand, some say the amp is kept cooler because it's closer to the air conditioner.

I just want it under the seat because it's hidden away, I would probably fit a little kickboard or ledge near the back of it too so passengers in the back don't kick the [shizzle] out of it.

I still want the stock clean look though, hence putting it under the seat. It is more pratical too as I occasionly have to fold my seats down to put stuff in there (eg: Bike).

No matter how good an amp may look, I don't need to show it off to everyone, it's as if you are comphensating for something.

Ooohohoh, what's your problem ethnic, you didn't win?!

^^^I dont wanna be racist, thats the next best word I could think of.

DM

Under the seat is fine to block peoples feet from hitting it but allowing the air to flow id use a metal mesh strong enough to stop kicks bending it and hitting the amp but with enough airflow for the amp to cool

The amp needs about 5cm of clearance around the fins for enough cooling you can always hook up a pc fan to help if you really want to.

Also careful how u attach it you could puncture something like oil lines etc if u screw into the ground

id go with some perforated metal which will stop people kicking it and allow air flow you could build a cage that the amp bolts onto then the cage uses the bolts the seat use to keep it in position

Forums these days have lots of rules. it kinda sucks but it to protect the cool people like us.

I could and have written essays on why there are lots of not-nice people on the net (almost used another word there).

Don't think we are ignoring u or anything alot of the guys here have the cars but aren't mechanical minded there are some but most aren't.

Where pretty nice bunch around here but in this thread its more just general crap talked about life love cars work etc etc.

Posting problems in the main forum will bring up a better result as the people in this thread are usually when we are at work posting or uni or at home from uni
