Yeah hopefully there won't be any hassles with the Cosmo. The rear tyres are a bit fat, but I might be able to get away with that. Everything else is stock, so it should be OK and it has been complianced IN the ACT.

registration for imports isnt too hard in ACT just as long as your car isnt modified heavily. i only needed to get an RTA approved station to look at the stagea, i didnt have to go through the pits.

actually in wa only the owner can drive it on wa roads if it is reged out of state..

and you may well find if you buy it from the east you will not be able to transfer it to your wa address.. so in affect the car will have to be unregistered.. before it comes over.. so if you are thinking not to transfer it to your name and keep it in the sellers till you get it home and all that. once again it is not legal for you to drive it in WA, as technically you don't own it...

People that think they know everything seriously annoy those of us that actually do.

the Cosmo is stock except for the fat tyres on the rear. They stick out a little, so it depends on what they think of that. Everything else should be OK. I will ask the tyre guys next door (who do the tyre/alignment stuff for the Cosmo) and see what they think as they are an approved inspection station.

So your tyre place is an authorised inspection centre?

Problem here in WA, is that we only have like 10 inspection centres in the metro area. Waiting lists can be upto a month long and even when you do get a date, you can be waiting for hours on end. Even at 7am, there is a huge queue at some centres. The RAC service centres have recentley become inspection centres as well, but I believe that they only do minor inspections.

yeh there are tyre places that do rego inpections. though ive found some of them to be seedy and try to screw you over. though that could be the same with anyone.

in the ACT you have 14 days to get an inpection done and submit the transfer of ownership after you have purchased the car, so waiting lists like that would never work

The stainless steel door sills arrived today!

Pretty quick postage, Einstein (I believe) only sent them on Friday from the UK.

Just need to pass by Bunnings on the way home to collect some stainless steel/marine grade screws.

I fitted the front ones, just to see how they go.

Need to pass by Super Cheap and get some more clip things so I can fit the rear sills.

Will polish and fit on Sunday
