That looks a ton better, are you going to paint it or is that the desired colour? I do prefer it two-tone like that.

Yeah, there is a black strip of rubber/plastic between the bottom of the doors and the lip kit about 30mm thick. It would stand out and look awful if the lip was white.

It's mostly rubber, which is possible to paint, but would not be resistant to scratches etc seeing that it is open to the elements.

I spotted a new Volvo XC70 today, It's not too bad - decent ride height seeing it is marketed as an offroader, the previous model was useless.

yeh.. neg.. dont paint rubber.
it always looks sooo pisspoor when it starts to flake off.

couldnt leave the rubber off? trim it? :/





on another chip-in-random note; i bought another set of wheels today. i have ALOT now. :|
but meh.. they're rare and awesome... and im a Speed-Star fanboy.
anyway, they're SSR hasemi Sport S5's, 16X7 and 16X8.. decent offsets
need a few repairs.. but shall be sweet.

the MR2 has its 5 teardrops, 2 SSR's, 4 Delta's, 4 Eunos rims, 4 watanabe's, and 4 fortec's...
the GTS has its 4 GTS rims, 4 widened 15X7 gts', and 6 steelies..
the R31 has the 4 Rays, 9 steelies, and now the 4 SSR's!

most of those are stacked up in my garage. s'quite a sight.

im gonna cull the crap rims, and start collecting nicer ones.
guess that happens with ALL collections though.


on that topic? anyone 'collect' things? i LOVE magazines/articles/brochures/etc for my cars.... aswell as a cabinet full of 1:18 model cars i have...
