When I was in Germany, I thought I was da man, cruzin' at 200km/h for ages. I went to overtake a Merc and just checked my mirrors before I switched lanes (I'm in Queensland, we don't usually check mirrors here!), lucky I did, a Ferrari blew past me like I was standing still, must have been doing 280.

A veteran is 1 year, I've got 3 stars and 1479 posts, Rod has mashed his keyboard over 3000 times for 4 stars.
I can sell you a star, please PM me your Credit Card details and I will forward it to you. Do you want a 5 pointed star or 6? I also have a bridge for sale on Ebay if anyones interested.

(please don't send cc details, the "star for sale" was obviously a joke.............it's a lovely bridge though)

Oh - btw ... I haven't posted this yet

Some asshole decided to try to break into my MX6 last night ... they've wrenched the whole drivers side bezel around and the door handle's a bit mangled now

Next person who tries it will get this ...

<--- Asshole wanker crook arsonist

They didn't get in ... because the dimwhit JAMMED THE LOCK!

Now, even I know how to pick a lock, and you don't pick it by breaking the bezel - and you don't try until you jam it either.

Anyway ... I'm going to try and find two rear handles off a 626 or something to replace them ... I just don't want this happeneing again - and if I use handles without a lock in them, I think people will leave it alone

[EDIT - Sorry about the rant, I feel a lot better now ... I think]

yeah i had the same thing happen with mine about a month ago or so. some idiot mashed up the boot lock and the passenger lock but didnt actually open it!! dont know wat they were thinking with the boot lock????
can u use the locks from a 626 instead? cos the mx6 ones are bloody hard to find and new ones cost more than a mint.

ah nuts, its gonna take flamin' ages to get to 500 posts but im getting there for the veteran status. only two months to go

Both my door handles have been damaged by attempted break-ins. Some idiot stuck a screwdriver between the door skin and the handle and tried to prize it off. that pushed the metal in a little bit under both handles. They didn't get in. Funny thing is, at the time, the drivers window mechanism was so bad you could push the window down with 1 finger.

The alarm goes off on my car even if someone lifts the door handle on the driver's side, but not on the passenger side. The big generic 'alarm installed' stickers give nothing away other than to try the next car
Sucks to hear about your break in attempt man, at least they didn't take anything, other than raping your wallet for repairs
