i beleive that would be "blue powered"

despite cartoons, nuclear reactors glow blue

turn to cattle and turn our rotaries into "green machines" cows make a lot of methane apparently

there is a nuclear powered aircraft being developed...i guess sooner or later it will find its way into cars. i mean the reactor would be small enough. but obviously people dont like giant bombs flying over head so they wont want them on the road, but i like the idea of nuclear power very much.

ill have to read up on it again im pretty sure the reaction isnt continuous it stops when the machine is deactivated.

well some elements take millions and billions of year to break down

but some only have a half life of a few years, some 30

we cant keep burning fossil fuels, and natural sources of energy can only go so far, and not very far at all without lots of financial support from private companies

nuclear power is a good way to form the base line evergy demand we have

From a few posts ago, even if this nuclear plane crashes, it aint going to go nuclear, the radioactive material simply wont be refined enough to go nuclear, same with nuclear power plants, worst comes to worse they meltdown, like chernobly (sp) but the amount of stuff that was done wrong leading up to that meltdown was rediculaus, it really was.

main problem is getting rid of the waste, cause it is litterally waste, nothing can be done with it

And cold fusion, i envy the person that works that one out lol

Fitzy ... yes, all that would happen is nuclear meltdown (aka China Syndrome) ... you forget about the fact that if the core reaches groundwater that there would be potential fallout in quite an area ... like we're talking Greater Melbourne area here!

That said, I'm an advocate for nuclear power production, and beleive it's the best alternative to more common fossil fuels.

yeah really cold fusion is going to have to be the next big step in power generation
its the only one that is potentially economically viable and generates enough power using resources that are plentiful on earth (not like those idiot russians that want to mine the moon in 2020 cos its a some rare mineral that MIGHT help in cold fusion :P)
