Right now I gotta question.... How does the gear stick knob come off... ?? ie.. does it just pull off ?? Coz I wanna put my new one on....!!! Thanks..

I think it should twist off like a screw. It's screwed on isnt it?

there is a bit on the bottom that u need to hold onto with a spanner/shifter then the top just twists off.
at least this is the case for a 1st gen

Nah ... 2nd Gen's just twist off with your hand ... twist it anti-clockwise and hold onto the stick just underneath the knob when you're twisting it.

Should be a breeze ... considering they have applied an anti-lock grease to the stick.

... probably best to apply some when you put the new knob on

Make sure you twist anticlockwise (lefty loosey, righty tighty). Also check if there is a grub screw holding it in place at the bottom of the knob........

...hehehehe...I said "knob"! That's ruuuuude isn't it.

Maybe you should eat a steak before you make your next attempt, you need more iron.

haha....Crusty!!!.....Ill pass on the meat....but I have had a couple of other people attempt and they cant work it out either!

And with the 'Grub Screw'?? Can i see it? Because its got that leather case thing so i cant see anything like that??

On some knobs (mainly aftermarket) there is a tiny little allen key grub screw at the base of knob that holds it firmly to the shaft. It was just a thought, I doubt you'd have one. Just an excuse to type "knob" ....... & "shaft".

Pity about the meat.

I went to Crusty Demons of Dirt on Saturday!!!WOOT!!!
Every man and his dog were doing backflips, one guy did it from the 75 foot kicker!!
Some were even doing BF combos, one did a heel clicker backflip, just insane stuff.
