It's boiling hot in the middle of october in sydney this is not usually.

20 years ago on average the last two weeks of september and first two weeks of october were usually filled with southerly changes and on and off showers. Only have to look at how many WET bathursts during the mid to late 80 and early 90's I know as this time of year I would in mud out at liverpool moving exibition equipment. Last almost ten years I have not had to worry about rain.

Open your eyes and ears people. Lack of rain - NO cyclones in north QLD - yeah we don't like them but they were the norm of the area 20 years ago. every summer one or two provided bucket loads of rain - They filled the Dimantina river west of the Great deviding range and flow down to SA. It has not been filed for 17 years now.

Drought - lack of water on the 2nd driest place on earth. ?
Yeah and in NSW a bunch of wankers stopped a desalination plant.

Umm ... generation of electricity probably provides the bulk of our emissions, so ...

... the big question to ask is are you pro-nuclear? or anti-nuclear?

If you're really worried about the environment, I'd suggest it as being our only option at this point in time, as the only biproduct of power generation is steam ... and of course the processed waste product, but that can be stored in old uranium mines and kept for a day that we can re-process it for something else.
