Gen1a F2t conversion into Gen1b F2

Going to document my conversion here so anyone can access the info I'm currently trying to track down.

So far I have purchased an mtx 89 f2t from a shop that has a 30 day warranty, and also stripped a high mileage 89 auto 626 gt of its wiring, ecu, sensors, piping and anything else I could think of.

Currently searching through wiring schematics for the function of the 89 626s body harness where the engine harness would connect.

So far there are 3 plugs in question. A 6 pin plug with 5 wires by the ignition coil, then a 4 pin plug by the ecu, followed by a larger white plug (15 wires or so) that runs up the back of the dash.

I'm going to my 91 626 tomorrow to start the work. Essentially going to focus on the wiring as the mechanics won't be a hassle. Seriously contemplating wiring the F2 with the 89 F2T harness first lol it's just the intake manifold assembly and distribution really.

Any help would be greatly appreciated though

Save yourself a lot of time and hassle, just turbo swap the F2, then swap the trans. Also gain the compression bump.

So far I've figured out the pin function for the 5 wire plug by the coil FEM-01.

W/R water thermoswitch
BR/R power steering switch
R/B main relay #2
W/R main relay #1
L/B pressure switch

Still working on DEM-01 wiring, seems there's 14 pins, I've got about 6 figured out lol not many :\

Garage
You are in for a lot of work, I suggest buying a doner GT or Probe GT.
but If I can not persuade you I have a Probe GT wiring harness and ecu if you are interested.

I can probably provide various sensors too. Just let me know.
