Chefsp0t Yeah I definitely went a different direction with the car. There is a thread in the gallery called project low and slow. Check it out.

cloverhsu7 the blue color doesn't match the red well so it appears a little strange

Chefsp0t That color is a little too bright for my plans but thanks for the PS anyway Ian.

I wouldn't mind picking up a set of evoX wheels though. They are sick.

Actually, someone should fit some on an mx6. They would look pretty awesome I suspect.

SUBZEROCOOL That's sexy as hell Chef, would look great and flow's w/ your paint.

Chefsp0t Yeah he has one of my favorite color combinations.

shadow3030 That will look good! I hate to say it but those rims looks awesome on that car! Don't know if that counts for fluorescent colored rims but I like.

Chefsp0t I think I will but I have to wait till spring. Gonna go with 18x8.5 +35's. I figure if I am going to do it I might as well be aggressive about it...

They will fit almost the same as evoX wheels. They are 18x8.5 +38 so I will poke 3mm more than this.

I'll have a hair more poke in the front because speed3's have 10mm wider fenders but I think I will be able to pull 8.5's off just fine. I might go with a slightly stretched 215/40/18 on them too just to make sure clearance works out. The picture above is on 225/40/19's by the way.

Chefsp0t Hmm. That is actually rather tempting. Thanks Kyle!

Chefsp0t Hopefully both.

shadow3030 Spring or Summer is best for doing tint. 1/2 in lower and more flush!?! Your gonna need some small stretched tires or some camber action.
10-28-10 21:54
Chefsp0t Yeah it needs tint but I keep spending money on other things. Maybe in the spring.

I think those wheels would look pretty good though. Especially if I can get another 1/2" lower on them and get them flush with the fenders.

shadow3030 If no one has done a PS for you Ill do one up for ya when I get back from the store. I like these rims better than the ones you painted...the ones you painted are a good design but the blue doesn't work with the red(ish) color you got goin on. Car looks sick slammed though! I'm sure you hear this all the time but TINT THAT BITCH!
