Working things out with the particular dealer right now, haha.

It's not mine yet. I haven't drove it yet, but looks wise, I'm liking it a lot for some reason. Even compared to an identical one, I don't know.

The only thing I don't like, is it's having 93k mi. It does have an available 2 year warranty I'll be getting, but the extended factory warranty to 100k mi, is close to being up..

I blame Joey for not getting his FD up and running with the new 5 speed swap yet.
Then when he does we can laugh at him trying to drift some more.

It's KINDA drifting, it's more along the lines of "grip driving", where I turn corners as fast as possible while being on the VERY EDGE of losing traction. I do have a video of me "drifting" (since you don't call it that MBR) where I keep a steady angle throughout 3-5 seconds...Swap is coming soon, just waiting on the lightweight flywheel and i'll be done, end of May should be done!

Once you experience actual four wheel sliding, steep angle, drifting it's hard to actually 'feel' if your not in a real drift.
There is a difference between drifting and powersliding.
I think Joey will impress us with his clutch kicking soon enough!

Oh Yeah... on a side note. I almost sold the MX6 this week to buy a 1994 FD with 87XXX on it. Two problems, motor was blown and it was an auto. But the price was only $5600!

Wait, what swap is coming soon, huuhh?

I'm trying to either get a second vehicle, or get a ZE for my Mx6. I found a TII Swapped Vert, triple black, and I want it soo bad. But my parents are fully against it, since it's older and doesn't have a warranty anymore. Which is why they'd prefer me to get an Rx8, but I'm having a hell of a time getting approved for one...

A while back I found an FD, that was taken apart for an LS swap, but still had the engine, trans, EC, harness, everything, it was just about the same price. Ugh, I wanted it sooo bad, haha.

MBR, you shoulda gotten that car man, the 5 speed swap is only $1000 in parts, and a rebuild is only $2000...so you have a full running manual FD for less than $10 000...that's GREAT

Targa Tasmania Rx8-SP

Behind the scenes at Targa Tasmania 2010

I found it interesting that the Rx8-SP is turbo charged and running E85.

For those who dont know, Targa tasmania is a pretty serious road rally in this country.
There is another in this part of the world, Targa New Zealand.

The good thing, is that is pretty much open slather on bitumen roads, which you or I would like to have a crack at.

Theyre held in places where there is not much traffic, and some " interesting" driving conditions

84 626 sedan RF diesel - Sold, no time to work on it.

You can have the one off of my S4 engine. It's just rusted beyond belief.

Picked up a 2004 *cough* Auto rx8 yesterday and have never been happier!
It was however a salvage title. Paid 9K for it after inspecting everything, and am pleased with it so far.
47k miles on her with all options but the nav, absolutly LOVE the race seats, and find it to be incredibly comfortable. Silver with all black interrior, both interrior and exterrior being clean as hell. I'd post a pic, but we all know what the 8 looks like :-)

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem

Fine, I'll get some pics if you can answer me this one question. Is my rx8 supposed to whistle? It does when 4th gear hits 1600-1800rpm, and again at 2300-2600rpm. The other gears do this at various points as well.

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem
