I like how the inside of the back tires are almost where the outside of the front tires are. There is an FB sitting in my parent's neightbors barn in near mint condition, white with blue interior and meshies... except the engine is blown with only 44,XXX on the clock. The old guy siad he knows what it's worth and won't let it go for less than $30,000, yeah right!

Personally I think with those big whale tail spoilers they start to look a little like a Porsche.

Thats clearly bullshit....Ian Boettcher used to regularly get 600+ from his supercharged 13B, which would translate to 900+ on a 20B at the same boost.

I have seen 400Hp from fuel injected (sequential) PP 13B motors, once again translated to 20B would be around 600. I say this would be about the limit NA.

the 400 was hit around 9000Rpm.

If thats still not enough, I have heard of people building their own R26B by bolting two 13B engines together.

Yeah the dual 13Bs, that's where you get the quad rotors from. Uses a custom shaft to bridge the two together, from what I have read before.

Ya it's hard to tell whats going on with the shield in place. The intake sits really high off the top of the motor, almost looks like a velocity stack or something.

^It looks like a ram-air idea. The box is probably in place for a scoop of some sort as the upper seal makes it appear as if to seal to a hood.

I posted that car for a reason.... GF and i are getting an FB this spring as a backup car while we finish next round of upgrades on my Celica and the Escort. Then that picture will become VERY relevant to our interests. The car is already lined up.

I've already been in contact with the company that manufactures those body panels. It's a go.

I haven't done a ground up build in a few years, and this was something that immediately dropped both of our jaws.

Gavin, i've seen that RX3 all over the internet... i think it was in the GRM magazine at one point, too.

Have some more....

“One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that if you drive into London at 6am, half of the cars on the roads are Porsches and Astons. Whereas if you go in at ten to nine, they’re all Renaults. Simple solution, then. You want a nice car? Get up earlier and do more work.”

No ram air. You may have missed the snorkel tube going to the bottom of the engine bay. Thats where the sealed airbox (its sealed on top to the hood) gets its air from.

The answer actually is........Variable length intake runners.

The setup is RPM actuated. I think the owner (Tom Ellam) got the idea looking at a newer sportbike (I want to say Gixxer 1000) and adopted the idea to his car. Tom is somewhat inventive

I wondered why there where two sets of intake pipes! I thought maybe there was another piece that went on the top of that thing.
He must be inventive to be messing with that sort of thing, looks like it cost him a little bit to go with that setup.

Oh shit I didn't even notice that the top part was spring loaded/actuated to a shorter set of runners on the inside...I just noticed that now!
