No ZE power, he's right, they are all worth 9K+ around here. I got mine this cheap because it was an auto. Shells still go for roughly 4K here. let's also not forget that these are RHD cars, the LHD variants are almost double the price.

BTW Cross, I didn't get it for 7, I got it for 6

November 23rd, 2010 Update!!!!!!!!

Although the nice warm season is over, that doesn't mean I'm taking a break from the car. I'm doing a lot more studying as well as buying more parts.

So far I have purchased:

-ProSport Gauges electronic boost gauge
-Megan Racing down-pipe and mid-pipe
-Restrictor plate
-CXRacing V-mount intercooler.

Don't worry, that's just dust on the clear vinyl protection

Yes, it's a Megan Racing, but I inspected the welds and test fitted them. Everything seems great.

The Restrictor Plate is simply a 2.25" exhaust flange to create enough restriction in the exhaust flow to eliminate boost creep.

-Bar and Plate intercooler
-Core Size 15" x 10" x 3.25"
-2.5" Inlet & Outlet
-3.25" Thickness Core

What's going to be purchased over the winter:

-New KOYO aluminum radiator [check]
-2.75" polished aluminum piping and couplers for IC
-ProSport Gauges water temp. gauge [check]
-ProSport Gauges oil temp. gauge [check]
-ProSport Gauges oil pressure gauge [check]
-Innovate LS-1 Wideband
-GM 3-bar map sensor
-Apex'i Power FC with commander
-Apex'i AVC-R boost controller

With all this, I should be pushing near 300rwhp. If all goes well and business(detailing) keeps up and progresses, I should also be able to go single turbo. But that's an IF for now.

With an aftermarket downpipe and no cat, you better put that boost controller at the top of your list

Where are you planning to tap your oil gauges? Sandwich plate or somewhere by the cooler? Is that gold and black strut bar painted or powder coated? I'm digging that color combo

Actually, the boost controller won't change anything because of the amount of boost creep I will get. The only 2 options are porting the waste-gate (which I will be doing during the complete engine rebuild with the Atkins 3mm kit) and by using an exhaust restriction plate which works wonders from what I've read on rx7club.

As for the oil temp. gauges, I'm not sure exactly where yet, but def not close to the oil cooler as that would compromise the reading since it'd be cooler fresh out of it.

Yes, the gold and black strut bar is painted, by yours truly Thank you.

March 17th, 2011 - UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

So over the winter, I didn't get everything I wanted, but I should get it all by the end of spring. What I did get however, is a new set of wheels with rubbers. I got myself Enkei RPF1's, in 17 x 9 +22. I will be running Hankook RS-3's in 255/40R17 on all 4 corners.

[Wheels and tires aren't in yet, so here's a generic picture of them]

[Same for the tires]

I also got myself some 99-spec bumper lights and the FEED front bumper and side steps.

[Side steps not shown]

Additionally, I will moving from a stock oil sump system to a oil sump delete and running premixed 2 stroke gasoline and oil.

March 22, 2011 - Update

Wheels are in. Instead of just showing you them, I thought I'd have a bit of fun and have them strip for you though. So, if you will, play "She's got legs" from ZZ-Top while you SLOWLY scroll down.

And just to give you an idea of wide they are....

I'm not sure yet when the tires will be in, Hoping by the end o the month.

June 4th 2011 - UPDATE!!!!!!!!

The year has been quite busy so far with the regular job and the detailing company, meaning I haven't' had much time to work on my car. Last night, I got lucky and was able to spend a few hours getting things done though.

I had my wheels and tires mounted and test fitted them on the car. The rear fits fantastic...

But the front...

OOPS! A little wide. Since I'm going towards an entire Carbon Fiber Front end, I'll get the FEED wide front fenders instead of the SEIBON OEM front fenders.

I also need to adjust the suspension height about 0.5-0.75 inches in back and 1.25-1.5 inches in the front to clear the wheels and to make sure I don't damage this...

Just to show you how low it sits on the MazdaSpeed MS-01's right now...

Also, this is my shop where I do my detailing, but don't worry...it's normally MUCH cleaner than this. I kinda made a mess when I got excited about installing my new FEED bumper!

That FEED bumper fits nicely Time to get a dual oil cooler and FMIC to take advantage of that bumper

Those are some meaty tires!

I already have the stock dual oil coolers and I'm going the V-Mount set-up way! Almost no lag. I might upgrade to all aluminum oil coolers though. And yeah, the tires are a little meatier than I thought they'd be, but they should give me the traction I need I have more meat in the back right now: 265/40R17

As for the FEED bumper, I'm getting it wrapped in Carbon Fiber to complete the front end look since I'm getting CF fenders, hood and headlights. Can't wait to see the finished product.

If you are going all CF front then what's the plan for the rest of the car? Painting it black?

Leaving it Silver. I like the idea of having it 2 colors. If I ever get tired I could sacrifice a bit of weight to have the rest of the body wrapped in Carbon Fiber as well :P That would be pretty sweet. Of course I'd be changing the doors and hatch for REAL Carbon Fiber, leaving only the Quarters and Roof to be wrapped.

I see, yeah you can get pretty much every panel in CF, like the hatch and sunroof. Would like to see how everything look when you are done, which hood are you going with? I have a chance to go grab a brand new CF vented hood from a local for half the retail price, so I might do that, getting tired of popping the hood after a long drive
