FD for sure, better than RX-8 in anyway. CYM tho? I love the color but they are over price IMO, especially they only come in as R1. I need my FD to be fully loaded, can't go for a cruise without a sunroof.

Yeah, the lack of a sunroof sucks, I've ALWAYS used mine in my Mx6.

But that's what sucks about the R3 as well...

And I found one here local, 55k mi, for $17,000. I'll see what can be done as far as that.

I want an Rx8, since you can't get a newwer Rx7 with a warranty and such. And it seats 4 instead of 2. But the FD has always been my dream car, but it gives me reason to keep the Mx6, since it'd seat 5 people.

Ah, it'll most likely be the FD though. I love me some Spirit R.
That's the exact reason I went with the RX8, the warranty. Every time I see a FD though I drool and regret the 8 for a bit, lol.
Then I sit back and enjoy the seats, kick on the 6-disk bose, open up the Nav and enjoy the ride in rediculous comfort. If you get the R3 I guarantee you wont be dissapointed

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem

I think I know which one you are looking at

Is a nice car, have quite some mods tho. I would find something w/o mod to begin with, and make sure the compression is good. GL with the search, took me 8 months to find the right one.

^ The FD seat is very comfort as well, I think all Mazda interior are comfortable in general, and the GT has Bose sound too, I'm just saying

Actually, I test drove the R3 and quite frankly, I was very dissapointed. Not just with the lack of power, which I was expecting, but the handling. The way Mazda was promoting it, it seemed like it was out of this world handling that could match and surpass the FD. Not even close. I much prefer the ride in the standard "1st gen" RX-8. To each his own though.

Agreed on Mazda and seating, even my mx6 was pretty dam comfortable. And for the bose, I presume you mean the Alaskan pipeline running through the trunk of the car? lol

And Joey, I was unaware they changed the suspension between the 2 Generations. I'm gonna have to check this out at the dealer next time I stop by. I have an 04 and friggin love corners

^Don't get me wrong, the car handles great for sure as a stock car. It's just that in 2009, Mazda introduced the R3 and was raving about the suspension and handling upgrades. I was simply expecting much more from it than I got when I test drove it.

The pipeline look awesome But I don't listen to music when I'm driving unless my girlfriend wants to, otherwise I just listen to the exhaust

If you're talking about the one on Rx7club.com, that'd be the one, but I can't find a place that'd give me a loan on a car that old..

In other news, the dealership near me just got in 5 Rx8's, due to the gas prices going up. I checked them out, and there was only two manuals, one which was worth noting. Though it doesn't have the Bose sound system, it's a 2004, but with 36,600 miles, and is $13,800. Does have heated leather seats, and a sunroof though...

I dunno, I desparately need a car, I haven't used the Mx6 but one month in the past year.

I've drove a 1st gen Rx8, but I've really been eyeing the R3, but y'all are making me worry now.

That's a tad over priced. My buddy just got himself an '07 with about 30, 000 miles on it (and a brand new motor under warranty) for $8.4K CAD. Red, 6 speed, fully loaded.

Eh, I wish it was $1-2,000 cheaper, but it's honestly a good deal around here. Usually for that price they're 60k mi or over. I have seen 2009-2010 R3's for $20,000 in surrounding states though, but I'd need to save up for longer, and as I said I've gotten impatient not having a car for a year, lol.

Well, I'd need to find a place that gives loans on vehicles older than 7-10 years old. I haven't been able to do that..

^Make a personal loan instead of a car loan. Banks can't tell you what to do with the money you're borrowing.

^ That or you'll have to pay cash, IMO I'll never pull a loan for a used car.
