I don't see anything wrong with adding small tasteful modifications. Something like replacing the antenna isn't going to touch the value of the car

If you want to keep it then head to the dealer and buy a stock antenna, don't try to fit another Mazda's.

That is most likely what i will be doing Joey.. thanks; i just thought if they were the same part from OEM, and i have two good working mx-6 ones, why spend the arm and a leg for one at the dealer.. just my thought. Figured it was worth looking into first anyways.

Haven't update this for awhile since the car broke down on me last September, she's ok tho, just a bad injector O-ring that caused severe flooding to the front housing

With me spending a lot of time to restore the M-Edition in September and October, and got engaged in November, I pretty much just let it sat over the winter. I finally got back to it in March, did a compression test with Rotary Diagnostic tester and the result were great, over 100psi on all faces. Found out the secondary injector was the problem, swapped it out, did the simplified sequential and she's back on the road again. Been driving her to work the past few days and she is running great

With the wedding coming up in September, she won't be getting a lot of upgrade this year. Maybe something small like side skirt, retrofit headlight or dual oil cooler. However, I did scored some 99 Spec tail for cheap, the lens are all scratched up tho so I'll be swapping lens over from my stock tails

Nice score! Id love to get my hands on these tails eventually.. just cant justify it with the engine being in rough shape..

The front rotor housing is f'd. It needs seals and a true re-build. Its got about 30psi for compression.

Sure does;

Not sure at all really.. didnt even put 2500 km's on the car and it started running REALLY rough.. so i had it looked at, and well the owners before me had poured desiel fuel and seafoam in the front rotor housing to fake the compression soo it was driveable before they sold it to me.. good times lol

Hmm I don't know how that'll work, even if it does the car should drive funny shortly after you bought it. If you were able to put 2500km on it then maybe it is something else, have you done a compression test?

yes i have done a compression test.. the front rotor housing is at 30 psi... and the rotor housing was full of desiel and seafoam. It definitely faked the compression for longer than i would have thought too but apparently it worked cuz it drove good... 2.5 hours one way when i brough it home, and then another 1500-2000km's and she started shaking at idle; it was missing soo bad. so i had it looked at; and thats when the desiel found and the low compression was confirmed. lol

What tool did you use to test compression? Just a piston tester with the bouncy needle test? What's your vacuum at idle?

I don't see how they can fake the compression with seafoam and desiel, if you are running on 1 rotor all these time your engine will shake like a paint shaker, you can't possibly put 2.5 hrs drive on it plus another 2000km.

I would have it look at by a Rotary specialist.

Lookin' good! Just needs a set of wheels. Would you be interested in my MazdaSpeed MS-01? I'll be getting rid of them this summer and if you want them, I'll give you first dibs, and a forum buddy price.
