My name is Bill. I'm a Canadian living in Clearwater, FL since '97. Definitely NOT retired, or even close to it!
Just bought a '93 MX-6 with MT for my daughter as her 1st car. Except that I think I'll drive it for a while and let her drive my modded Subaru Legacy 2.5GT 5MT until she gains a bit more experience. I'll detune the suspension mods for her.
My wife and I autocross (SCCA SOLO II) the Legacy and I have attended the Evolution Performance Driving School for the Phase 1 course. I'm looking forward to Phase 2 and to applying what I learned.
So does anyone autocross their MX-6? How does it do? Should I consider running the -6 instead of the Legacy? (Unlikely, FWD vs. AWD likely out weighs any other advantages the 6 has. I'll know soon). And, how well can a -6 be made to handle? With what mods?
I reppin' the Augusta area in GA.
im 18 and i have had my 91' mx6 for like 2 years and love it... i recently totaled it, bought it back as salvage, got it fixed, waiting to have it inspected by the state, so until then its under the cover. this summer i want to put a GT mtx and a fe3 into it... looking forward to working on it. let me know if anyone can help cuz i really dunno what im doing. as far as meets go once school gets out i should have weekends to do whatever.
