Yeah I saw that... WTF, I don't remember cornering hard enough to get anywhere close to that, or that the suspension could even do that stock. Color me surprised.

Well, as promised .... here's a shot of the tranny from the bottom. Ther hole goes COMPLETELY THROUGH AND OUT THE TOP OF THE TRANNY!!!

I will get some better pics once I get it removed. little difficult since the entire back half (firewall-side) of the tranny is blown out! The hole pictured is about 12" big!!!

I do know that Bill's car had torn door panels .. I am going to be junking my Mazda but I have two good panels I'll sell ya for $5/each. They're the same color ... the passenger side has a small tear (1/2") near the bottom that could be easily patched, but the rest is all in good shape.
consider them sold then, just let me know when is best to get them, I work later and dont usually get off til about 6, but dont usually have anything going on after then, or am able to arrange weekends fairly easy, except im finishing up on the quad 4 this coming weekend...I seem to thing you live quite a ways away...

debating on the fe3, maybe someone here can help...im at a good point and position if I want to to destroke the fe3 back to a 2.0L, meaning a little less low end and alot more revs, not sure if I wanna follow through on it though...any thoughts? As the motor sits, it should be safe to rev to 8k, but with a 3.7" stroke I dont go over 7, dropping it back down to a 3.39" would prolly allow a VERY safe 8500+ but as it sits it only has power to 7k, or just before, like 6800. It's severely restricted by the intake mani, very much similar to the f2 styles, but with vics, a 2 stage setup much like the integra vtecs...(just the manifold) but open that parts up and find some cams and...you gt the idea. I have a turbo for it plenty big enough I'm pretty sure to top 8k with the power, prolly even be able to top 8500 or more...so i'm leaning to the destroke...

Bill or Josh, Just wondering about the front motor mount...do i need to cut it off like some instructions say? Or will everything still fit with the stock setup? I found that "king6" makes a custom mount for the turbo setup..

If you are using the standard EBay turbo Pipes .. YES ... you will need to cut the subframe that holds the front mount. It's not terribly difficult with a cut-off wheel and welder.

There IS a motor mount in front. Just the subframe support needs to be modified to clear the piping.

You need to cut out a section of the front to rear subframe that the front mount bolts onto so the pipeing will clear. Then you weld angle iron or other steal under the piping to join the subframe back together. When you look at it from the side, instead of the subframe peice being straight, it will now have a U in it to dip under the down pipe. Search on Probetalk.com, there are pictures. Everyone does it just a little different.
