ok i started the whole egr battle, got alot of info, pros and cons, thanks anyways, helped me decide not to get rid of it. anyways, a guys said he had a 10 pin tranny, didnt know they made an upgrade kit so assuming it was custom made, anyone have any upgraded trannies on here. want to have replies of people with them, not just assumptions. if there is such a thing.

One of the most obvious things to do to strengthen the tranny is to reinforce the shiftgate. Either by tackwelds or locknuts.

Then theres always shotpeening and cryotreating.

And I suppose you could make some custom gears/shafts of stronger alloys, but its prolly $$$.

I have a friend who was working on gearing for a Civic which consisted of some pretty crazy metals and alloys, the fact of metals like Titanium costing an arm and a leg along with the cost of programs like Cad for the schematics of what you want, with the cost of machining those items....I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have a lathe in my livingroom.....we're kinda stick at the present moment, unless you have some serious cash, the best option would be BRAND NEW OE
