Here is some footage of tonights outing at the Drags.

I tried a few runs on my 18's with that turning into a 300 metre burnout. So after that, i threw on the slicks and did a few sub 13 runs, with the best so far being 12.5

Here is a vid link of it YouTube - [email protected] Mx6
another shot of it from the outside using a phone. YouTube - [email protected] Mx6 outside view

edit: what are you revving to? were you running 115 in 4th gear?

Looks like an R33 to me.

Good to see those numbers from you :) Any idea what it weighs?

Lovely photograph as always. Definitely one of, if not the, best looking mx6 on this site!

Sweet numbers. A very impressive run.

You may remember when my valves fell out a year ago, well i finally got it all sorted.
The tune is still the 310 hp one. That was on 17psi with a redline of about 7000 rpm.

The head has been ported out more and the valve springs have been changed. They are honda B18 springs from Comp Cams.

Last saturday, i put the head back on, i lined up the dissy by eye, i set the soft limiter to 8000 rpm and i raised the boost to about 21psi.

After 7000 rpm, and over 18 psi, the car is running rich. As it hasn't been tuned for those points.

I am looking at getting the cams dialed in the and the engine tuned on about 24 psi. With that i am hoping for 400+ whp and a low 11 sec run.

The car is running really well at the moment and i have a fresh gearbox with the torsen diff in it, so it should last for a while yet.

I found that the grippier the slicks got, the slower i went. So i may up the air pressure to try and get some more slip next time.

3rd gear...

It revs to 8000 safe now.

This is interesting to me. Do you have anymore info?

I am using the full set of outer springs from this set.

COMP Cams: Honda/Acura B-Series DOHC Valve Spring Set

They were picked from the comp cams catalogue and ordered because they would suit the FE.
nice Job Mate

Nice to see you finaly joined the Torsen Diff club. Now see if you can do a me and smash 3rd to bits. TWICE

You have 11second pass in it right now with that MPH.
I know it's FWD but it can be done.
What's the 60 foot like?
Drag radials look great with Gen2 S1 wheels.
If I had stock brakes I'd love to fit a set onto mine, I had access too recently.

Can't wait to see more
very nice cam. im definitely impressed by the numbers you're putting out. and thats pretty cheap for aftermarket valve springs.......but what inners are you running?
Those are great times.I'm trying to get mine sorted out also.Hopefully in time for next season.

Sweet, there's hope for me yet :)

Hey, about those honda springs, it says that the intakes are dual, but the exhaust side single, does this mean your exhaust side is not single? or that your exhaust side is uber stiff? Just curious. I'm very happy with the ground VR6 setup myself.

I assume you are on stock rods at 8k? Do you drive it much, and do you drive it at 8k much, if so it will be good to know if it lasts or not :)

I might even raise my rpm limit if yours is still going strong when I get home. and the boost to go with it too ;-)

Thats what I was thinking. Maybe he put intakes on both sides? How well is the fitment? How about the retainers and such?
I am using all the honda outers with my FE inners.

I have to double check, but all the spring rates for the b18 outers are the same.

I am reving it out to 8000 most of the time, the rods seem fine, but i still have to get the car tuned for the 7000+ rpm range and the boost over 17psi.

More to come soon.
