I have a 1G Gt with the head unit with casette and EQ- looks bigger than Double DIN.... is there any later model Mazda CD player/recievers that will fit the !G cutout? like maybe something from a Newer Protoge or Miata?


If any of you have done this- please let me know what you swapped in.

It's actually a triple DIN, though there are severe limitations on what can go in the lower 1/3.

No decks fill the whole thing, and stock stuff is WAY overpriced anyway. Get a nice aftermarket deck, and a nice big pocket to fill in the rest.

Or, get a nice deck, and in-dash 6 disk changer, and put guages in the lower 1/3.

Or get really creative - there's lots of room to have fun with!!
