So I have a 1990 mx-6 LX, the F2 motor only has 58k miles on it but I have realized this engine kinda sucks. I realize to get more power I have a few options, turbo the f2, import an FE-DOHC from Japan and turbo that, or swap in the V6 from the second gen.
I tried reading about turboing the F2 Na, and all discussions on here and conflicting information is melting my brain. I also have a feeling importing and building a DOHC is out of my price range and I'm not sure how hard converting or if there is any difference between the FE for a RHD car and a LHD, and I'm not sure swaping in the V6 is even possible without cutting up the car. I'm just thinking out loud here and seeing if anyone wanted to share thoughts.

Looking at rebuilding my 2.0 turbo in my 87 626 can I use engine kit for n/a I know exhaust gasket is different but what about everything else
I don't think any of it is the same.
Why don't you just use engine and head gasket sets for 84-87 626 2.0l Turbo. Rockauto has them in stock.
