For a friend
can you tell me what are the possible model designations for a first gen mx6? 1991 to be exact, and wht the differences would be?

Also, how would you tell what model you might have? how could you differentiate one model from another?

I don't know about the Canadian versions as they could be different, but for the US I seem to recall there being a base model (DX) without the fender sticker, then the LX, then the GT. There may have also been an LE (It had different alloy wheels, similar to an LX).

look under the hood - if its got a turbo then its a GT

a DX car is barebones. No power accessories (windows, locks)

The LX had power accessories.

The LE, had leather but otherwise the same as the LX.

The GT is an performance upgraded LX. Suspension, and engine is different.
