Does anyone remember anything about the 1st generation cars running low voltage regularly and the cause and possible fix? My old car did would run about 13.5 volts (plus or minus some) but once both the headlights and A/C were turned on the voltage would drop to around 12.2 to 12.5. With only the headlights on or only the A/C on then I was closer if not a bit over 13 volts. I actually found TSB that talked about this problem, but not so much the repair or upgrade involved. Now, my new project car is doing the same thing and I want to try and improve my voltage readings to at least close to the norm with all accessories on.

Hmm, I swear I've seen an OEM upgrade or repair kit that was supposed to help with this problem for sale once. It had a different alternator pulley and maybe a different belt. But it's been so long that I can't remember exactly.

Thanks for any help
