Rob i see after a long time of being afraid of blowing your engine, you removed your Scirocco radiator and put in your stocker along with that blower just to prove to me you are boosted again. Hmm you sure went thru a lot of trouble to prove me something. Here let me remind you what your engine bay last looked like and note the date posted...........http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/registry/media/250549

Anyways on to some real up to date pics............

Wow, you are as dumb as you look :muhaha: I never said that pic was recent I said it was Boosted when I first bought it, that is a pic shortly after I got the car from Mike N. :jump:I see the date of the pic you have was posted in 2005, It's 2006 now. here is a more recent pic of the engine bay, only about 2 months old. S/C goes back in when I get my MS :flipa:

Car/Model/Engine/Year: MX-6 LS 2.5L KLO3 V6 '95

Method of forced induction used: Turbonetics T3/T4 .63 hot 60 trim, oilcooled.

Intercooled or not, type of your choice: 24 X 12 X 3 air to air Bar and plate design. Stainless Steel polished pipes.

Piping/drive system for SC's: TWF pipes, modified to fit. LSE intercooler pipes (custom made)

Fuel mods: Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, MegasquirtNspark V3. MBX single feed AFPR kit, soone to be dual feed.

Engine/tranny mods: Stock motor, clutch is going on me, will be a kevlar DxD from Southbend, non-pucked.

Special features on your system: MBX gauges for Oil PSI, boost, coolant temp, and AEM Wideband A/F controller/guage hooked up to the MS.

Performance: Dyno comming soon. (this weekend)

Was it hard to come up with this: Very tedious and time consuming installing all the parts, lots of unknown costs, and times when the car will not run is frustrating.

What is your knowledge about cars: Everything i know I learned on MX6.com and from radar.

How long did it take to build your system: 3 months from start to finnish with long breaks because I work on the road.

How much money have you spent on this all: Over 5K.
1000 - Stainless intercooler pipes (show quality)
1000 - Hotpipe install
750 - Turbonetics T3/T4
650 - MS V3
250 - AEM wideband
200 - Megan Gauges
300 - MBX kit and conversion to dual feed.
140 - Millenia S injectors
550 - TWF pipes
135 - Wastegate
100 - Hotwrap
50 - BOV
75 - Oil feed/drain

and thats only te begining. I went through 2 MS's and an extra disty. plus alot of random stuff.

What is your advice for people who wants to get boosted: Dont start this project unless you have 3K to start with AT LEAST. Worst comes to worst, you have some extra money left over. figure an extra 1K for install if you dont do it yourself.

Do it right the first time.

I was hoping to get on this week, but i have to bring my new car in for a recall so i wont be able to have both cars down in plymouth.

Then i go to philly for a week, and when i come back it will go on the dyno regardless.

Car/Model/Engine/Year: MX-6 M-Edition KLDE 2.5L V6 1996

Method of forced induction used: Turbonetics T3 .63/.60 a/r 60 trim oilcooled SS feed and return line, Turbonetics Deltagate Mark II with 3psi spring.

Intercooled or not, type of your choice: Currently non-intercool. Next: JDM MR2 side mount and custom piping.

Piping/drive system for SC's: Matt Maas's pipes.

Fuel mods: Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, Vortech 12:1 FMU, Aeromotive AFPR, SS dual feed. Next: Millenia-S injectors and Meqasquirt.

Engine/tranny mods: Stock internals with ZE cams and ZE Intake Manifold, clutch can't hold 5psi so I'm down to 3psi, still slip sometimes. Next: SBC DXD clutch.

Special features on your system: Autometer gauges for boost, oil pressure and A/F, Blitz turbo timer.

Performance: No dyno but for sure faster than when it was cammed.

Was it hard to come up with this: Not hard, just takes time to plan, a lot of research and reading.

What is your knowledge about cars: Good enough to do basic modification.

How long did it take to build your system: 3 months to collect parts, 3 days for install and get it running.

How much money have you spent on this all: About $1,800
$180 - Hotpipe and modded x-member
$230 - Turbonetics T3
$100 - Turbonetics Wastegate
$170 - Autometer Gauges
$250 - SS Dual feed line and fittings (Already have AFPR)
$280 - Flow tested and cleaned Millenia-S injectors
$100 - GReddy Type-S BOV
$100 - SS Oil feed/drain
$20 - MR2 side mount intercooler
$75 - Fuel pump
$90 - Turbo timer
$56 - Heatwrap
$20 - SS Zipties
$55 - FMU
$50 - Relocated battery
$150 - Other little things like vacuum lines, bolts, gaskets and DIY stuff

What is your advice for people who wants to get boosted: Plan ahead, break the job down instead of doing them all at once. A lot of things can be done before sitting the car on jackstands for days, like moving the battery, upgrade fuel system, install gauges, collect every single bolt you think you'll need, tap the oil pan on your next oil change, etc. That way you can keep the car as a daily driver and minimize down time, I found that very useful as my car only down for 3 days.

Get a friend to help or at least have a 2nd car sitting around while you are working on it, you'll need that 2nd car.

hey guys I usaly hang out in the 1stgen forum so bear with me.
I was on the sport compact car web and saw this interesting challenge.
Mazda V6
The Ford Probe, Mazda MX6 and Mazda MX3 show such promise with their lightweight aluminum V6, but extracting power from these engines seems to be tricky. With 2.5-liters to work with, a 13-second target seems reasonable. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if such a car already exists; maybe this challenge will help bring it to our attention. Forced induction or not, I don't care, but nitrous oxide is not allowed.

Granted this its from March 2001 but I thought it would be cool if you could get Your car into Sport Compact car May be get some much needed atention to our Almost forgoten mx6s. I'm sure there is more than one of you that has a 13 sec or better car.

Yes, Yes. I have dyno time schedualed for tommorow. HOWEVER I have bad Injector o-rings that need to be changed out, and I MAY have another problem besides that with a vac leak.

Im praying that the inkector o-rings will do me good and let me get on the dyno tommorow. :S
