i need help installing mine alter egos website has been down for like 4 months and i really need help with this pictures would be great too. thanks

lol...it will give him a boost in power....lol:rolleyes: . I think its like one of those things where some people think it will give them more power, like how some people think that running surprem in a non FI engine will give more power.

Hahaha, nice come back... kind of like 'Too Cool For School' on one of those other sites....

Sorry, but I can't help you. I've never needed a fifth injector, what setup are you running?

Checkl out some of the turbo dodge sites. They've got step by steps. It's really quite simple. Wire in a pressure switch (Hobbs), run a boost signal to the switch, plumb in the injector (Saab, BMW or VW cold start injector) in i/c pipe, plumb fuel to injector from fuel line, wire switch to injector, set switch trigger, done.

lx turbo

methman sounds like your jellous because my turboed lx will beat your gt.

not really, I just thought you were dumb because you have a LX and I thought that you were thinking about installing a 5th injector on a N/A lx. because you never stated that it was custom turboed. Oh and FYI, I highly doubt you could beat me. First of all the most boost you can run is like 9psi's because of your high compression, and even then you will probly need really high octane gas to prevent knock and more fuel otherwise your limited to 7psi's.
I see no mods in your sig so im guessing your basicly stock except for the stock GT turbo and intercooler, boost solnoid, pipping ect. and your probley running stock (7psi's boost), because the LX injectors will max out at anything higher, and GT injectors will make the car run rich when off boost. Unless you took care of all the fuel problems, which I don't think you have judging by the tittle of this thread.

now I have a Adam's chip to get rid of boost cut so I can run 15psi's, I have a hollow cat with a 2.5" CAT back side exit exaust, I have a cold intake with a K&N drop-in filter, I have a Ball & spring MBC so no turbo lag. I also have acell 8.8mm performance plug wires and a 0.040 cylinder overboare.
I don't have a tonn of mods (I still have a way's to go) but IM willing to bet that I have more mods than you..and even if I don't I can run 8psi's more boost than you can. so all-in-all...no IM not jelous. also my car is built for boost and performance your's isn't, IE: stronger axles, stronger trans, AAS, upper and lower rear sway bars. ECT.

sounds like u have a pretty sweet car,and by the way mine is not stock i did the gt conversion.All but the motor,i have a perfecta boost controller,blitz bov,hks exhaust,turbo timmer,t-bird upgrade,and a whole bunch of other odds and ends.The only reason im challanging u is because no one will answer the dam question,instead they deside to be **** heads about it.so any help would be nice thanks.

Thanks sounds like you do too, you really should make ma sig and put your mods in it, I really resepct a LX turbo that can run high boost without knock.
Anyway the 5th injector is the next mod im doing so after im done I'll PM you and see if I can help you get your's installed. also PM rebel2k as he has a 5th injector installed, he may be able to help you.

I am jealous of you high compression F2 turbo actually. I;m debating on putting one in my Gt since I blew up my 3rd f2t. With it tuned right you can run 20 psi safely, I don't care what other people will say.

Anyways play it safe. I doubt a 5th injector will provide enough fuel. I have both a 5th and 6th and still leaned out and cracked a piston. TUNE IT ON A DYNO. Trust me on that one, or your motor will be trash in no time. Keep us posted.

thanks, for the reply methman. as of right now i like the compression in my lx too,besides that im leaning out in 4th and 5th.i have no knock because im only running low boost due to the leaning out.besides that im really pleased with my setup.

So you have the GT electronics, injectors, disty and everything right? You shouldnt be leaning out on low boost then because the stock GT chips are mapped for tons of fuel.

Go to the dyno asap and look at the a/f ratio. A 5th injector will only take your a/f ratio down about .5. Therefore, lets say you're running 13:1. If you turn on a 5th injector, it's only going to take it down to 12.5:1. I'm talking about an audi cold start injector as well. Take a look at my dyno plot in the Performance section if you want to see my point.

thanks for the info rebel2k4.very helpful, i was leaning out due to a blown head (so i think) im changing it soon when i get the cash right know im still trying to figure out how i blew the head.

Why is it that Rebel2k4 keeps blowing motors?? 5th and 6th injectors and you cracked a piston!? Do you think it has something to do with the elevation?? Weird.

Anyways the reason for this post....

methman iam curioeus as why and how you came to the conclucion that us dx turboed guys can only run 9psi at max.
Dex and myself are starting to turbo this week and should be done fully by april. not going to rush it as it is winter.

Well unfortunately I always assume my car has plenty of fuel when it doesn't. All 3 times I've cracked pistons, and the one time I blew a head gasket, was when I was running my T3. Everytime I;ve had the stock turbo I seem to be fine. I need to head out to vegas to have zombie tune my car realtime but unforunately theres other things I have to get fixed first, such as this motor :(

Due to my experience, I now highly recommend people to check out their a/f ratio on a dyno. I never did until recently and Ive paid the price. Just be careful out there guys. I'd hate to see someone have to go through the same situation I;ve had to. I doubt people are as dumb as me though ;)
