Does anybody have any idea how similar the 83-87 626 struts are to the 88-92 mx6? Might have a good line on some struts at a price where I might try for sh!ts $ giggles.

i dont think it would work, but you could always try it for sh!ts and giggles. I just have to ask why would you want to? I thought the 1st gen mx6s would have better handleing and ride then my car

I assume you're wondering about the AAS from the 83-86? Well I can't say if they will fit or not(never tried it) but my gues would be yes they wold fit, but again never tried this, would never see any reason to. I have to ask WHY??!! They would be an older design/technology. Also the 83-87 AAS had just 3 settings all manual modes, while the 88-92 has I think has like 5 or 6 settings with NORMAL consisting of an automatic mode.

GD-GT's have 3 modes. Soft, Normal, Sport.

Normal and Sport also have auto modes that will tighten the struts even further when under excessive dive, squat, or body pitch.

Soft stays soft all the time.

The connectors on the older AAS accuators are different therefor will not plug into to the 1Gen wiring.
