93 MX6 2.0L not starting - distributor or crank trigger?
My brother's car is a '93 MX6 2.0l with the auto.
Last week it suddenly refused to start. One evening it worked, the next day no start. It will crank just fine, but will not fire. I pulled all 4 spark plugs, they all smell heavily of unburnt fuel. I grounded each one in turn when I had it out, and cranked the engine, no spark on any of the 4.
I'm aware the integrated igniter and coil in these distributors are common failure items, but I need to know what else I need to test. (and how to test it, as I don't have a factory service manual).
