Hi all,
I've just bought a MX6 which has been sitting for around 8 months, I was told the battery was dead but a "new" one was supplied, however neither of them worked and there was no crank/noises so I charged the new battery using my trickle charger and now the car has power, however the factory alarm system goes off when I connect the battery and unlock the door manually (the fob's battery won't work), any tips on how to solve this? I'm worried as if the car isn't moved soon it will be taken for scrap.
Thanks very much,
Alex

well hopefully thats wahat it is... you can also try unplugging the connection at the hood latch thats tied to the security system. did you check for shorts at any of the lock cylinders?
