I am about to purchase a 1993 MX-6 LS it is a v-6 fully loaded with leather, sunroof, power everything ect.
The person I am buying it from is the second owner. He said he would sell it for $4600 American. Now I think this is a pretty good deal. It hasn't been in any accidents. The only downside is that it is an automatic(I'll deal with it though)

The only thing that I found wrong with this car is the sunroof. I have read some of the other threads and it sounds like it isn't a big deal.

What problems can I expect to have with this car?

Is electrical problems common with these cars???

Anyone know what the 0-60mph is stock??

- rear calipers seizing
- igniter (distributor ignition module)
- ATX failure
- possible carbon knock from motor (depends on motor build date)
- cam drive-gear noise ("friction gear noise")

These are the biggies. It's likely, given the age of the car, that the previous owner(s) have already dealt with at least the calipers and igniter module. ATXs on these cars are always a question mark (as are MTXs that have been abused or neglected.)

Some electrical connectors under the hood are prone to corrosion setting in but nothing serious.

For the 5-speed, it's about 7.5-sec. For the ATX, add about a second, give or take.
